The cemetery in Waikopua Rd ,Whitford has been established for residents of the Whitford , Beachlands and Maraetai communities. BURIAL PLOTS
The current cost for reserving a burial plot is $600. This is normally to be dug “double depth” unless otherwise specified. There is a plan of the cemetery and a plot number will be allocated. ASHES MEMORIAL WALL
When cremation rather than burial has been preferred it is possible to have the ashes interred in the memorial wall and a bronze plaque affixed giving the full name and date of death of the loved one.
The cost of this currently is $250, which includes the cost of the plaque. SERVICES
Short services may be held in conjunction with either burials or the use of the memorial wall.

There are strict regulations for the size of headstones, grave monuments and surrounds, which can only be erected after the grave has settled, usually at least six months after burial. Permission for any headstone to be erected can only be acquired with the sanction of the Waikopua Cemetery Board. CONTACT
