Pohutukawa Coast Community Patrol
The Pohutukawa Coast Crime Patrol was set up a number of years a go and aims to help the local New Zealand Police make our community a safer environment in which to live by providing support to the local police officers.
The Crime Watch patrol is a voluntary non-confrontational organisation made up of people willing to give some of their time, and take a little bit of responsibility within their own community. Any person who has a caring attitude to their community may offer their services.
Community patrols act as 'eyes and ears' only. We patrol the community in pairs, either by day or night and note anything that could be suspicious.
We need more people to join our team. If you have a couple of hours to spare on a regular basis (whether it be weekly, fortnightly or monthly) and would like to get involved in the local community, meet new people & help keep Beachlands & Maraetai a great place to live & work or give us a call to find out more.
Should you wish to be involved in this important service to our local community please click below to download an application form. Print fill out and attach required proof of identification then hand in to the Beachlands Police Station.
