Hello and Welcome
We are now all official and are registered with the Charities Commission -Registration # CC21188.
Our thanks to the community for your overwhelming support through the establishment stage of the Society, however now the real work commences as we get down to the nuts and bolts of being a Historical Society. We are now intoour third year with our membership standing at 54, made up of 15 family and 24 individuals.
Our Committee now needs the solid resource of the community, past and present, as we take our first steps toward achieving our goals and objectives. While we need those of you with photos and recall of family history relating to the area, we alsoneed to secure an adequate membership base withmembers becoming actively involved, (without the commitment of attending regular meetings or holding elected positions), with such things as fund raising, arranging social events/outings, restoration, data entry, guest speaking, journalism, recording oral history, researching, helping setup the archivies, building, etc. We can guarantee it will be very enjoyable and rewarding. If you would like to help in any way please make contact with any one of the committee. We would love to have you join us.
Membership Fees are now due. Those of you whohave already registered as a member and have not yet paid will be sent an account. However, it you would care to save us the postage, any one of the committee can take and receipt your payment.
To join membership forms are available from any one of the Committee, orclick here to download a form. If you would like a copy of the Constitution, wish to make a donation, can help with trade discounts on purchases, or have something else that you thinkwill be of assistance to us contact Lee at536 5526, Fax 536 5566 or email lee@pohutukawacoast.co.nz
